Here is a petition being circulated by Senate Majority Leader Henry Reid requesting the President listen to the American people for once and sign the funding bill with timetables for withdrawal. David Broder wrote a piece this week suggesting Reid was something of an embarrassment to the Democatic Party. We disagree and think Broder needs a vacation from Washington D.C. Somebody has to step up and oppose this awful war forcefully and highwayscribery is grateful that Reid, with all his stuttering and missteps, has taken on the job.
